Editorial Reviews

"The best source of practical guidance for students of Canadian history... I do not see any competitive alternative in guide books for history that challenge this title." --Peter McInnis, St. Francis Xavier University

"I have used two editions of the book in my second year Canadian history survey course and, speaking from experience, students have found it to be a clear, concise, and useful book as both a reference and as an introduction to the writing of history. As an instructor, it has proven to be an invaluable resource for providing students with concise readings on the major issues surrounding the writing of history." --Michel S. Beaulieu, Lakehead University
