About the authors

Born and raised in Clavet, Saskatchewan (Treaty 6 territory and homeland of the Métis Nation), Elena Bentley is a disabled, Métis/settler writer who has always loved children’s books. Elena’s grandmothers, Audrey and Maxine, read to her often and inspired her to pursue a life in letters. In addition to writing children’s books, Elena writes poetry, fiction, and book reviews. She holds an MA in English literature.
