Description
Ocean Wise is a nation-wide conservation program, created by the Vancouver Aquarium to educate restaurants and consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood. Through affiliations with restaurants, markets, suppliers, and food services, Ocean Wise ensures everyone works together to make ocean-friendly buying choices in an environmentally conscious world.
In The Ocean Wise Cookbook, editor Jane Mundy brings together some of the most popular recipes from chefs and restaurants from all across Canada. Jane shows us that no matter what the recipe, you can make positive, sustainable choices. Jane illustrates which types of seafood are considered Ocean Wise and gives alternatives to overfished species, all the while providing a host of delicious recipes for fish, scallops, crab, tuna, and more! With recipes from chefs like Chef at Home’s Michael Smith, the internationally renowned Rob Feenie, and Jamie Kennedy from Jamie Kennedy Kitchens, The Ocean Wise Cookbook is a perfect addition to your sustainable lifestyle.
