About the authors
When Hope Dalvay read Anne of Green Gables at the age of ten, she knew she had found her BFF (her Best Fictional Friend) in Anne Shirley. Later, Hope turned her daydreaming habit into a passion for writing middle-grade children's novels (Welcome to Camp Fill-in-the-Blank and My Year as a Space Cadet) and an educational picture book (The Multiplication Rap). Her short story "In Search of Kindred Spirits" (The ANNEthology) is an expression of Hope's heartfelt gratitude to the friend and to the book that made her a forever reader. Kate Chisholm captures the whimsy and wonder of everyday life in her art and is the creator of the Instagram account @themousetowncollective_. She transforms the familiar into something fresh and unique with her use of vibrant colours and sense of humour. When Kate is not drawing, she can be found hiking the trails and shores near her home on Prince Edward Island or playing with her fun-loving cat, Charlie. Kate is the illustrator for The Multiplication Rap, a children's picture book published by The Acorn Press.
