Description

“The trick is to age honestly and gracefully and make it look great so that everyone looks forward to it.”—Emma Thompson

Aging itself is a bit of a conundrum, as the only alternative to growing older is not living. Despite all the niggling little physiological changes that start to show up with predictability, every day older is a privilege, good health is a gift and feeling youthful is a choice.

It’s all about perspective.

About the author

Alison Montgomery is a Saskatoon high school visual arts teacher, a landscape artist and a musician. But first and always most importantly, she is a devoted mom to her two sons, Chris and Jesse. With her youngest son Jesse, Alison found herself in a unique and challenging role as the parent of a child with an exceptional interest and a passion to succeed. Confessions of a Dance Mom, Alison's second non-fiction book, is her account of what she and her husband experienced as parents while their son Jesse worked towards becoming a professional ballet dancer. Alison's first book, Finding Christopher: A Journal of Grief, Love & Faith, was published in 2010 and is a personal reflection on surviving the sudden and tragic loss of her 24-year-old son in September 2001. Alison and her husband Tom live in Saskatoon.
