Description
Learning a new language through realistic color illustrations.
This is a beginning bilingual dictionary with 1,300 color illustrations and 1,600 terms in each language.
Learning a new language, like learning to read, is easier when the reader can put an image to the term or word. These two new visual dictionaries are perfect for introducing Spanish or English to young children.
Lifelike color illustrations describe and identify items, and each is shown with the word in both English and the second language. Beside the Spanish word, the gender appears as well.
There are 1,600 beginning terms in each language, organized in 36 themes that children experience in daily life -- at home, at play, and at daycare or school. The themes include:
- The body
- The weather
- The body in motion
- Jobs
- Clothing
- School
- The meal
- Colors and shapes
- Familiar animals
- Numbers and letters
- Dinosaurs
- Sports
- Plants
Outstanding for its realistic illustrations and clear labels, My First Spanish/English Visual Dictionary is stimulating and fun to use. It is a perfect introduction for young children learning Spanish or English as a second language.
