About the authors
Paul Chanel Malenfant is the author of some twenty works of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. His book of poems Des ombres portées (Noroit, 2000) won the Governor General's Award, and he has been shortlisted for Governor General's Awards on four other occasions. He teaches at l'Université du Québec à Rimouski.

Marylea MacDonald (d. 2008) taught French from 1995 to 2004 and was director of the ESL Program from 2004 to 2007. She was passionate about gardening, travel, conversation, and French.
