With his wife, Flora McKinnon, Sallows raised three children in Goderich. He died at age 82 on his way to take photographs at a church camp.
"As a lokel histerian I am comforted to know I am not a lone phonetic in my approach to Canadiana. This is as informative an autobiography as I have ever read."? Don Harron, author of Charlie Farquharson's Histry of Canada
