Description

Will Brady give his team what they need, instead of what he wants?

Brady’s upcoming game against the Dragoons has some high stakes. It’s the last game of the season, and his big chance to clinch the scoring record!

His teammate Chester offers to help Brady get ready. Every afternoon, the friends are out on Brady’s outdoor rink so he can practice his slapshot, his deke and his backhand. But come game day, Coach has some bad news. Chester’s sick and the Icehogs need a goalie — and there are no volunteers.

Brady decides to step up, for his friend Chester and his team, even if it means he’s lost his chance at the record . . . or has he?

Editorial Reviews

“. . . the Brady Brady series shows young children being confronted by child-appropriate difficulties, such as teasing and pushy parents, and finding ways, sometimes with some adult help, to solve them. Chuck Temple’s cartoon-style illustrations add a great deal to the books’ pleasure, and his attention to details make the local ice rinks and their dressing rooms come alive.” — CM: Canadian Review of Materials
