Nurses in CanLit

Anyone who has known the touch and care of a good nurse (i.e., most of us) never forgets the experience. We remember forever how much more we would have suffered without their kindness. This week, Quebec police are looking for a man who allegedly punched a nurse repeatedly in the face because he was upset that she had administered a COVID vaccine to his wife. The vile assault – as well as other cases of abuse of medical workers in the pandemic – prompted this list of excellent Canadian nonfiction and fiction about nurses and caregivers, in tribute to these most crucial of professions.
