Émilie Turmel

Born in Montreal in 1988, Émilie Turmel now lives in Moncton. A poet, she has published two books published by Poètes de brousse, Casse-gueules (2018, René-Leynaud prize) and Vanités (2020, Louise-Labé prize). Some of her texts have been translated into English, Spanish, or Romanian, and several have appeared in magazines or anthologies in Canada, Colombia, Spain, France, and Romania. Maman m'a donnée... is her first translation
