Description
With his usual prairie-boy wit and brutal honesty, Funk casts fiction aside and finally tells his real life story in a brave, unflinching memoir. Amidst the fun, there are poignant and painful moments of coming of age, coming out and coming undone. From his days as an intensely shy farm boy to his years as a lost soul and finally to his escapades in Saskatchewan's writing, publishing and broadcasting world, this autobiography is a wild ride and a true page-turner.
About the author
Wes Funk's first novel Dead Rock Stars was short-listed in the Saskatchewan Book Awards. Currently in its third printing, the book has also now been incorporated into both high school and university curricula.
A love of the prairie lifestyle, a strong belief in diversity, and a passion for music are all strong themes in Wes's books. Wes is also the host of the Saskatchewan weekly tv program, Lit Happens. Wes lives with his partner and pets in their riverside Saskatoon home.
