Description

A heart warming tale of survival and determination written and illustrated by Sue Coleman, one of British Columbia's best known watercolour artists. An almost true story spun around a migrant trumpeter swan stranded in Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island with a broken wing-tip.

About the author

Sue Coleman works from her waterfront studio in Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island, on the Canadian west coast. A watercolour artist, she paints a wide variety of subjects, but continues to be inspired by the ever-changing natural beauty of the area and the traditions of the Pacific North-West People. Her concern for wildlife and the environment is evident in her work and earns her constant support. She has written and illustrated several books, including the novel Return of the Raven and picture book The Trumpeter Swan.
