About the author

Naomi E.S. GRIFFITHS is recognized for her pioneering work in the fields of Acadian and women's history. She is a Distinguished Research Professor in the history department at Carleton University. Her most recent book, From Migrant to Acadian: A North American Border People, received the Lionel Groulx Prize in 2006.
