Description

Learn about Banff history in the book THE PLACE OF BOWS, which traces the vast epic of human interaction within the Banff-Bow Valley, one of the most glorious mountain landscapes in Earth and a place where different cultures have come together for millennia. It is a story rich in character and often dramatic in events, and helps to shed light on how Banff National Park became such a focus of world attention. For those seeking to understand the contemporary debate over conservation versus development in Canada’s first national park, many of the answers lie within this book. The sequel to Place of Bows is The Battle for Banff.
