What happens when a big, untidy, golden bear of a man from the West Coast moves into a glamorous house full of cream carpeting and treasured art objects? A house you’ve promised your sister you’ll maintain in new-coin condition?

If you’re March Briarwood—energetic CEO of Marchmaids Inc., a cleaning service fighting to stay on top—you preserve the house unscathed (well, almost) and end by taming the bear as well.

Naturally, there are complications along the way, as when Hunt Reynolds, wildlife biologist, brings home orphaned chipmunks, homeless students, stray dogs…. Worse still, despite the irate messages they trade on answering machines, March finds herself attracted to the man.

What could possibly bring together two people with such radically different approaches to life, liberty and dirty laundry? Could it be that Saturday feeling?

Ingrid Betz was born in Montreal, Canada, and grew up in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec. She was educated in Quebec and at an international boarding school in Germany. She has published five previous novels: The Mourning of the Dove; The Girl From Finer Trading; The ButterCup Dream; That Saturday Feeling; and Eve and Adam. Several of her short stories have won awards. Ingrid Betz has two grown children and lives just outside London, Ontario with a cat named Henry, in a house surrounded by fields, woods, and wildlife.
