Description

“All aboard our little boat!

We’ll sail all night.

Let’s see where we float!”

Full speed ahead as two siblings sail off for dreamland! Before these two can settle down under the covers, they cruise off onto the Arctic Ocean to bid goodnight to narwhals and guillemots, minkes and belugas. They sail past clouds shaped like polar bears and marvel at the multitudes of stars that twinkle between them. Before dawn pulls them back to their own cozy bedroom, they snack with the seals on the bow of their ship, waving goodbye as from dreamland to daytime they go.

About the authors

Sarabeth Holden is an entrepreneur who loves to cook, do yoga, golf, and snowboard. She lives in Toronto with her husband, Sean, their sons, Raymond and Jackson, and their dog, Oslo. The whole crew loves to spend time outside. When they’re not outside, Sarabeth enjoys singing made-up songs to make things like diaper changes and face wiping a little more bearable so they can get back to the things they love: blowing raspberries, having kitchen dance parties, and reading stories. Sarabeth grew up in Nova Scotia, Nunavut, New Brunswick, and Ontario, and is now the president of the Toronto Inuit Association, supporting the local Inuit community as it grows.

Editorial Reviews

"Holden has written a charming story. . . the story cleverly aligns with the natural rhythms of a child’s bedtime. Steeped in action and adventure at the beginning, the story is designed to immediately capture a child’s attention and imagination. As the narrative continues, the action slows and the seas calm, encouraging readers to do the same. . .This is a sweet book that’s perfect for drowsy dreamers"

Quill & Quire

"[W]ith her energetic rhyming that has us travelling with the children on their dream boat, Sarabeth Holden is singing a lullaby for children to rest, imagine, and enjoy their lives in a different way."
