About the authors
Marny Duncan-Cary is a singer/songwriter/author whose music and words convey the heart of her life in southern Saskatchewan. Her debut album, Reason For Bein’, was released to national critical acclaim and earned four Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. Marny’s other books, Linger and the award-winning Who’s That Man? are extensions of her songs. Marny is proud to hold an education degree from the First Nations University. Award-winning artist Val Moker has degrees in education and fine art from the University of Saskatchewan. In addition to her work as a professional artist, she has taught art in the education system, and has created art and culture lesson plans for Learning Through the Arts, a structured curriculum development program of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
