She is currently writing a history of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and ghost-writing a memoir. Michele’s areas of expertise include food and justice issues, social concerns, Canadian history, and freelance recipe development. She is a member of the Manitoba Writer’s Guild.

E. Leigh Syms, PhD, is the Associate Curator of Archaeology at the The Manitoba Museum. He is also Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Manitoba.
