Description

"Penal Abolition is a refreshing antidote to the overwhelming emphasis that criminology has placed on sustaining prisons. As a country, Canada has to face the fact that it has the second highest rate of imprisonment of Western nations. This book is a much needed call to action to restructuring through the closing down of some of our unnecessary carceral institutions."
- Thomas O'Reilly-Fleming, University of Windsor
