About the authors
Eric Pateman is the president and founder of Edible British Columbia. He has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years both as a chef and as a hotel consultant. Eric’s travels have taken him throughout North America, to the United Kingdom and Africa, where he has sought out unique food experiences.
James Darcy is a food folklorist who has worked with the World Health Organization on studies in health and nutrition. Always interested in food anthropology and ethnobotany, he has studied a wide variety of cooking methods and techniques all over the world.
MARIANNE BINETTI writes a syndicated gardening column that reaches over a million readers. Her lighthearted and fun approach to gardening also appeals to TV and radio audiences. Marianne has a degree in Horticulture from Washington State University and lectures extensively to gardening groups.
