Description
In On Fire in the Kitchen, the former President's Choice chef puts planking on the backburner and returns to his roots to offer up an assortment of wild and wonderful dishes from the comforts of his kitchen.
GQ magazine called him the Crazy Canuck BBQ King: we've gotten to know him as the King of the Q, but Ted Reader is so much more than Canada's premiere grill meister. Trained as a chef in some of the country's top kitchens, Reader also knows how to roast, baste, bake, and guzzle. From the latest variation on his fabulous drunken chicken and grilled beef tenderloin stuffed with gorgonzola cheese to iron apple cheddar cobbler, ice wine martinis, and mystic mango margaritas, Reader's new book of mouthwatering recipes and inspired menus for picnics, cottaging, birthdays, and holidays, will have you cooking and grilling, in the signature "Tune of Ted,"all year round.
About the author

An award-winning cook, author and product developer, he was dubbed “King of the Q” by GQ magazine, which praised his talent for taking grilling to new heights. He is the grilling expert for Canada AM, and his television show, King of the Q Grilling Adventures, is broadcast on CTV. A native of Paris, Ontario, and a graduate of George Brown College’s Culinary Management program, Ted Reader now lives in Toronto. Reader has recently opened his first restaurant on the north shore of the Dominican Republic, Teddy’s Island BBQ, where everybody gets sticky. Visit www.kingoftheq.ca.
