MAUREEN (MO) HAGAN is a licensed physiotherapist. She started working as a part-time fitness instructor in 1984 at a GoodLife® in London, Ontario. Today, she is vice-president of operations in charge of group exercise and instructor training at GoodLife Fitness® and is highly involved in the development of education and training in the fitness industry as director of education for Canadian Fitness Professionals (Can-Fit-Pro). Maureen is the creator of Newbody, GoodLife Fitness®’s exclusive group fitness class and she teaches Newbody along with a wide variety of group fitness classes on a weekly basis.
In 2006, Mo was named IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year (making her a favourite around the world), and in 1998, she was named IDEA International Program Director of the Year for her ability to develop programs that inspire people to exercise. She is a Can-Fit-Pro, Les Mills, and ACE-certified fitness instructor, as well as an adidas three-stripe fitness athlete.
Mo is a well respected and sought-after consultant and media spokesperson. She has been featured and quoted in many consumer publications including Canadian Living and More magazines. She is the author GoodLife Fitness®: 6 Weeks to a New Body.
