Bill Richardson is known across the country as the host of Richardson’s Round-up, heard daily on CBC Radio One. A writer, broadcaster and raconteur, Richardson originally wrote about the goings-on of Hector, Virgil, and company for broadcast on CBC Radio’s Gabereau. He has published eight books, including two sequels to Bachelor Brothers’ Bed & Breakfast: Bachelor Brothers’ Bedside Companion and Bachelor Brothers’ Bed & Breakfast Pillow Book. Bachelor Brothers’ Bed & Breakfast, was the winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour. A frequent contributor to newspapers and magazines, Richardson makes frequent public appearances reading poetry, narrating musical works, giving keynote speeches, and signing books. He lives in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.

Bill Pechet is an artist and designer whose work explores the spaces between art, architecture, public space, and landscape. His Vancouver studio has created cemeteries, memorials, public art, plazas, lighting, street furnishings, exhibitions, stage sets, and houses. In 2006, under the banner of Pechet and Robb Art and Architecture, Bill and his partner represented Canada at the Venice Biennale of Architecture. He has illustrated several books, including Waiting for Gertrude and The Lady From Kent. He lives in Vancouver.

Lola is ready for adventure and comes dressed for it! Helping the flight attendant with the unusual problems that come to prevent a smooth flight, Lola solves problems with mermaids, fairies, ballerinas and a sobbing little girl who needed a unicorn for her comfort animal. When her grandmother met her at the end of the flight, she asked Lola if she were kind, generous and brave. “Without hesitation or fail,” Lola answered. We need more Lola’s on this earth! Wonderful insightful writing supported by imaginative illustrations, this story will be beloved by children of all ages.
