Description
Life Finds a Way is an anthology of comics about what happens after the end of the world. It asks the question, where are the helpers? How do you rebuild once the worst has happened? We want to tell stories of humanity at its best, despite dire circumstances. We want to explore how to look at an apocalypse as a problem to be solved. We want to remind people that creativity, resilience, and community are the strengths of humanity. Just because the world as we knew it is gone doesn't necessarily mean that we have to end with it.
About the authors
Daniel Anctil is a poet, editor, writer, game designer and children's book author. He is fascinated with the arts of storytelling and wordsmithing, and hopes to continue to expand the repertoire of narrative mediums he's learned to create. Life Finds A Way is his first Comic anthology with Cloudscape, he lives in Vancouver with many books.
Alina Pete (they/them) is a nehiyaw (Cree) artist and writer from Little Pine First Nation in western Saskatchewan. They grew up urban, but spent summers wandering the Qu'Appelle valley with their cousin from Cowessess First Nation. Alina is best known for their Aurora award-winning webcomic, Weregeek (weregeek.com), but they also write short stories, poems and RPG supplements, and their work has been featured in several comic anthologies, including Moonshot Volumes 2 & 3. Alina lives in Surrey with their partner and three very silly parrots who enjoy sitting on their shoulder as they write.
