Description
Inside the Songs of the Sixties contains hundreds of true stories and folk lore about the music, musicians, and events of the sixties.
Inside the Songs of the Sixties takes you back to the decade when Rock N' Roll, Doo Wop, The British Invasion, Surf, R&B, and Soul music took over our musical world. Hundreds of stories about The Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Elvis, Motown, The Beach Boys, The Animals, The Zombies, Gene Pitney, The Supremes, Teen Idols and too many more to mention. It includes the inspirations behind the songs, where are they now, bad decisions made by band members, managers, roadies, and record executives. How the mighty have fallen, strange deaths of our rock icons, mis-heard lyrics, law suits and court cases. If it happened in the music world of the sixties, it's in this book.
About the author
Brian L. Forsythe was born in 1948 and was raised in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada. At the age of 18 he moved to Yorkville Village, Toronto's answer to San Francisco's Haight Ashbury district, and is considered one of Toronto's original hippies. When the sixties gave way to the seventies, Brian returned to and graduated from a local college. He dedicated his life to the education of children, working for the Toronto District School Board for close to forty years. Brian, now retired, is the father of three children, happily married to the love of his life, and living in a small town in southwestern Ontario.
