Description

On February 14, 2013 author Sheree Fitch took part in One Billion Rising, a worldwide dance to end violence against women and girls. The event brought back memories of a hot June day when, at the age of fifteen, she lied to her parents about her plans for the day and it led to the most terrifying incident of her life. In I Died on a Hot June Day, Fitch recounts her harrowing experience and the circumstances building up to it. In the end she also shows that it’s possible to run from the dark and eventually dance into the light.
