Description

This is the spiritual autobiography of the grandson of a Caucasian tribal chieftain, whose search led him to encounters with many remarkable individuals and awakened in him a variety of mystical experiences. Through the telling of his life story he reveals much of the ancient knowledge of the Caucasian people, (sought by Gurdjieff and many others), the secret training of the Bektashi dervishes, a search for buried Ottoman treasure, and one man’s reconciliation with Christianity and the West.

“I tell my friends who seek me out that each one of them is a hereditary Prince or Princess and if they don’t exercise this attitude to themselves they are selling themselves short. But with the privilege of recognizing who they are comes a responsibility: it is that they owe it to the vehicles in which they find themselves riding to develop them to become better carriers for their journeys. It is a great responsibility.”

“I am not a knowledgeable person, but some interesting things have happened to me. My life has been a spiritual journey. There are answers to the enigmas that appear in ordinary three-dimensional human life, that is, life governed by body, mind and spirit. We need to add a fourth dimension, the dimension of pure spirit. Everyone can come to the realization of this if they are interested. The fourth dimension, either as a lucky coincidence of through a certain purpose, occurred to me. I want to tell you about it.”

Murat Yagan was born into a Circassian family from the region of Abkhasia in the Caucasus Mountains. He received his first spiritual training from the Elders of his people when he was a child. In his twenties he studied in a Bektashi tekke in Istanbul. In 1963 he immigrated to Canada and lived there until he passed on in 2013.
