Description
Homeward Bound is the second book in The Adventures of Easton the Rescue Pet series and is the follow-up book to the debut title, The Dog in the Deli.
Easton is a rescue dog who was born in Pennsylvania and adopted by the author, Elizabeth, and her family in Toronto, Canada. Based on personal experience, this story follows Easton on a new adventure as he travels to meet his new family and settles into his new home. The book stresses the importance of adopting rescue pets, and will be a fabulous read aloud for dog lovers — and their companion children — to enjoy. Homeward Bound is only the beginning of Easton’s adventures, with more books coming in 2025.
About the authors
As an elementary teacher of 25 years, Elizabeth Retter has developed a love for children's books of all styles. Her background in theatre and voice add to the songful tone and rhythm of her stories. Elizabeth is the Author of three books: The Adventures of Easton the Rescue Pet: The Dog in the Deli (2023), The Adventures of Easton the Rescue Pet: Homeward Bound (2024), and The Adventures of Easton the Rescue Pet: Puppy School Pandemonium (forthcoming in 2025). Elizabeth Retter is a certified dog handler at the Toronto Humane Society, and by celebrating Easton’s story, she hopes to shine a light on the need for all rescue animals to find their forever homes. Hailing from Ohio, Elizabeth now calls Toronto home.
