Description
Did you know that the first living thing launched into space was a dog? That astronauts train underwater? Or that space probes use radio signals to beam information back to Earth? This book in the Starting with Space series is the perfect resource for young children who'd like to find out more about space exploration, conduct their own experiments or read space stories and legends. Kids will discover the difference between space stations, space probes and space shuttles; they'll find out how telescopes work and how astronauts caught and repaired the orbiting Hubble telescope. Exploring Space also includes the latest discoveries and NASA photographs of our solar system and beyond.
