Description
These are 15 stories of people determined to live, told by people determined to keep the stories alive. Filled with courage and humanity, this book is a tribute to the traditions of Cape Breton storytelling. From the gut-wrenching journal by a survivour of the Auguste (1761) to John Angus Frasers' hilarious adventures on the abandoned Kismet (1957), to Walter Boudreau's harrowing account of days adrift while his companions died around him (1943)--this is a book of stories that will last.
