Description

Canada and the Biafran Tragedy is a chronicle of the authors' trip to Biafra and the lessons they draw from the conflict for the international community as a whole and for federal systems, especially.
This book describes Canada's involvement in the Biafra-Nigeria war. At the time of publication (1970) the fighting was over, but the starvation and oppression that the two authors fought against was not. Nor had the attitudes and prejudices of the Canadian government, which kept us from making any significant contribution to the peace.
