Description
You won’t believe the incredible things that animals do — how they communicate, how they find food, and how they take care of their families! Animals are much more like humans than you may realize. A collection of all four titles from the series by the same name, Amazing Things Animals Do is jam-packed with astounding animal facts designed to introduce children to the fascinating wonders of animal behavior. Cheerful watercolor artwork and a picture book format make this title especially appealing for young children and a wonderful resource for learning about the animal world for the first time. Amazing Things Animals Do features animals from all around the world — from penguins to elephants to kangaroos. A “Who’s Who” guide at the end of the book provides additional details about each species and its habitat, encouraging further questioning and research for the older reader.

The tone is comforting...Much accurate factual information is relayed in this gentle manner. A photo and full-page illustrations by Romi Caron accompanies each narrative. Like the text, the paintings are realistic, yet softened, and full of personality.
Canadian Children’s Book News
Baillie poses engaging questions and makes the experience of reading interactive, while Romi Caron's gentle watercolor artwork is very inviting.
Montreal Review of Books
This book is an appealing volume for the curious reader. The combined text is published in a larger format and is beautifully illustrated. The art is large, colorful and realistic with lots of detail – a great reference for more information. Each two page spread covers a different sub-topic and in most cases the second page is a full-page brightly colored illustration. Written in anecdotal style, the text is entertaining and informative.
