Description

Grandpa Joe and his grandaughter are having a tea party on the lawn, when he begins to tell a wonderful tale of his boyhood feats of derring-do.

He once paddled down the river in search of a great sleeping river giant, and along the way he came upon huge fish, fierce pirates, beautiful mermaids, wild animals, and friendly Chipewyan. But did he find the great river giant?

This beautiful, lavishly illustrated picture book by Blair Drawson, one of Cananda's most noted graphic artists, perfectly captures the summer-day fantasies of children both old and young.
