About the authors

Tom Monto has lived in Alberta for more than 30 years and has traveled the length and breadth of this province. He has a BA from the University of Alberta, studied Journalism at McEwan, written three Alberta history books and contributed to a number of local publications. Owner of Alhambra Books in the Strathcona district of Edmonton Tom leads a busy life as an author, editor and father of a teenaged daughter.
