Description

The ultimate guide to the lives of butterflies with more than 300 photographs. In A World for Butterflies, butterfly biologist Phil Schappert takes an in-depth look at one of the world's most fascinating groups of insects. From their evolution, life cycle and basic anatomy, to behaviour, distribution and reproduction, this informative volume is replete with compelling facts, stunning photography, and informative commentary. Divided into five chapters, the book asks, then answers five basic questions about butterflies: What are butterflies? How many kinds of butterflies are there? Where do they live? How do they live? What can we do to help them survive into the twenty-first century?
