About the authors
Carol Corbin is retired Professor of Communication at Cape Breton University. She has a PhD from Iowa State University. Her areas of interest and research include media studies, community, and the environment. Her most recent publication is Wild Island Nature: Hunting Island State Park and Saint Phillips Island (Lydia Inglett, 2022). Carol lives in Weymouth, NS.
Erna MacLeod has a PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests include cultural studies and media theory. She is currently Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies at Cape Breton University. Erna lives near Louisbourg, NS.
