About the authors

Helen obtained an Arts degree, majoring in English, from the University of Queensland in 1975. After taking a Graduate Diploma in Education at the North Brisbane College of Advanced Education, she spent several years teaching. With a long-time interest in cityscapes and lifestyles, Helen has recently completed a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning.

A winner of seven art awards, Hetty is a graduate in Fine Arts from the South Australian College of the Arts. Hetty majored in painting and since graduating from college has led an active and successful career as a freelance artist and designer. She has also spent many years teaching painting, drawing, design, and etching. Hetty's talents are currently being applied to writing and illustrating a book on design.
