About the authors
John Sylvester is an internationally published travel, nature and landscape photographer based in Prince Edward Island. He specializes in photographing the people and places of Canada, with an emphasis on the Atlantic region. His work has appeared in Coastal Living, Yankee, Country Gardens, Canadian Gardening, Canadian Living, Canadian Geographic, Outdoor Photography Canada, Readers Digest, UP!, Explore, Saltscapes, Our Canada, Harrowsmith Country Life, TIME, and National Post Business Magazine. He has won many awards for his work including two Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) awards and four Northern Lights Awards from the Canadian Tourism. He has published four previous books on P.E.I. including The Little Book of Prince Edward Island and Wild Island: Prince Edward Island’s Hidden Wilderness, both published by Acorn Press. Stephen DesRoches is a landscape and commercial photographer, born and raised in Prince Edward Island. His primary focus revolves around the islands natural landscape. His interest in art began early with traditional painting styles and it was not until after installing his first computer image editing app, that he became interested in creating his art with a camera, trading in his inks, paints and brushes.
