About

Yukon Conservation Society

The Yukon Conservation Society (YCS) was formed in 1968 by a group of concerned Yukoners to promote the conservation ethic in the Yukon and across the north. The YCS mandate is to encourage the conservation of Yukon wilderness, wildlife and natural resources. Over the years, YCS has earned a respected position of influence on environmental policy and educational matters in the North. YCS is a busy grassroots volunteer organization that serves the Yukon public through education, research and advocacy work on a diversity of environmental issues.
