Guillaume Vigneault was born in Montreal in 1970. He has a B.A. in literary studies from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Influenced by Camus, Hemingway and Dostoevsky, he is the author of two highly regarded novels, Carnets de naufrage and Chercher le vent. He makes his living as a bartender on the Plateau de Montreal.
