Hilary Thompson lives on the South Mountain of the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia and teaches at Acadia University. Only So Far is her first collection of poems. Her illustrated book for children, Warm Is a Circle, was published by Lancelot Press in 1979. She has written children’s plays for the Mermaid Theatre for Young Audiences, while her play for adults, The Flower That Fades, won an honourable mention in the Ottawa Little Theatre competition in 1980.
