Sean Stanley grew up in the woods of Northern Ontario.  He dropped out of the University of Victoria's Creative Writing program in 1998; since then he has worked as a gas station attendant, house painter, janitor, furniture mover, warehouse packer, stonemason's assistant, paving crew labourer, surveyor's assistant, book store clerk, handyman, bartender, and documentary filmmaker.  He currently resides in small hotel room above one of Toronto's sketchier strip clubs.
