Jack Shaw

In his lifetime, internationally known fly fisherman Jack Shaw (1916-2000) changed the face of fly-fishing in British Columbia. He authored two bestselling books on fly-fishing and inspired fly fisherman around the world. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he eventually ended up in Kamloops, BC, where he lived for most of his life. An author, photographer, teacher and conservationist, he was a frequent contributor to BC Outdoors magazine and his writings over the years did much to popularize fly-fishing.
