William Sacher

William Sacher holds a PhD in applied mathematics to atmospheric and oceanic sciences, from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is also an hydraulic engineer from the Institut National Polythechnique de Grenoble and has a Masters degree on Geophysics from the Joseph Fourier University, France.

He is an independent researcher of the collective Ressources d’Afrique in Montréal, and co-authored the book Noir Canada: Pillage, corruption et criminalité en Afrique, a publication which received the 2009 Richard Arès award in Québec, Canada.

Born in France, William Sacher has worked in various countries of Europe, Africa and Latin America, and has published numerous articles and reports on national and international press about natural resources exploitation and climate change politics.
