Stan Rowe
Stan Rowe (1918-2004) was a Professor at the University of Saskatchewan for over twenty years. A prominent Canadian ecologist, Rowe won the J.B. Harkin Conservation Award in 1994 for his significant contribution to protecting Canada's parks and wilderness areas. Rowe is the author of numerous articles, reviews and essays, including Home Place and Earth Alive , both collections of his important and insightful essays on ecology. In 1990 he retired to New Denver, BC, where he spent the rest of his life promoting his holistic world-view.
