Ontario Fair Tax Commission 1993

The Fair Tax Commission was established in 1991 by Ontario’s minister of finance to provide the government with advice on how to design and implement a more equitable tax system. Following a mandate to broaden public participation in discussions of tax issues, the commission designed on innovative consultation program that culminated in a series of public hearings across the province.
