About
Ron Mistafa
Ron Mistafa began his K9 training career in 1985 during his 16 year membership in the Calgary Police Service. The former unit trainer of the Calgary Police Service Canine Unit, Ron oversaw the training and certifying all patrol dog handlers, drug detector dog handlers, and explosive detection dog handlers, along with the dogs themselves. He also provided K9 training to other police services across western Canada and completely amended the Calgary Police Service canine training manual, bringing it up to DPO Standards. Ron currently owns and operates Detector Dog Services International, which supplies trained narcotic, explosive, patrol, and landmine-detection dogs, as well as specialized military dogs for conflict areas.
