Robin Menzies

Robin Menzies (1951–2011) served as clinical director of the Regional Psychiatric Center Saskatoon where he began his career in forensic psychiatry. He was a community faculty member of the University of Saskatchewan. He has researched and written several articles on various aspect of forensic psychiatry, including the psychiatric aspects of homicide, risk prediction among erotomanic violent offenders, and metabolic syndrome associated with antipsychotic medication use. Before his death, he was completing a double-blind study on the effect of propranolol on traumatic memories, which was ground-breaking research with very promising results. His forensic practice, especially as an expert witness, was highly sought-after and nationally recognized.
