As a bi-racial child born to a single mom in Hamilton, Ontario, the Rev. Debbie McMillan faced a number of challenges. Happily, her family, neighbours, and church gave her the stability she needed to excel. McMillan graduated from McMaster University and Emmanuel College at the University of Toronto. She proudly serves Unity United Church in Vasey, Ontario, and is an award-winning columnist for Mandate magazine.
